Building Homes And Futures

In Dallas, the goal is to build a thousand homes to help those who need assistance through Habitat for Humanity. The goal is to have this done by 2014. This is not just a good thing for those that are struggling to find a place to live but will have a great effect on the community overall. In many areas where there is crime, poor education and an overall sense of apathy throughout the work of Habitat for Humanity has done much to raise morale and the overall state of the community.
Dream Dallas
This project is being referred to as Dream Dallas and is not only the building of new homes, but the refurbishing of existing homes so that people will be able to live in them again. There are many tools and options that the community will be able to take advantage and the hope is that this will not only create sense of camaraderie and community pride, but it will also help with the job market as well. People will have a place to live and will want to maintain where they are staying. This will lead to more people working and wanting to maintain jobs.
The primary position of people who will be volunteering to help will draw in more businesses that will see the community as growing and on the way up. This will make it more attractive as the community improves and more people will be seeking employees to serve volunteers and to provide opportunities to grow and create new business.
