The Numbers for 2011
By the end of the year, the US Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics is reporting that the Dallas and Fort Worth metro area added some 50,000 jobs from October of 2010. That is a good level of improvement overall. However, when it comes to improving the job outlook, there are still many things weighing on the local economy. Some estimates indicate that over the next two years, the region will improve its employment by three percent. That could mean an additional 188,000 jobs being added to the city.
Where To Find Them
There are many ways for individuals to find jobs in Dallas. However, some are convinced that job fairs are the route to go. A job fair often brings in a number of different employers from the region to allow for a collective hiring event. Though these happen throughout the city, they can often be a good place for individuals to get a first impression to the HR departments of many of the area's best employers.
An upcoming job fair is occurring at the Park Inn by Radisson – Dallas Love Field. The location is at 1241 West Mockingbird Lane in Dallas. It will happen on Thursday, January 26, 2012. The event will run from 11 am until 2 pm.
