According to reports, the state's unemployment rate is down to the lowest rate it has been at since April of 2009.In the Dallas Forth Worth Metro area, the number of jobs is also up. The current unemployment rate for the city metro area is 7.4 percent right now, but that is not seasonally adjusted like other numbers are. In January of 2011, the Dallas Forth Worth Metro area has an unemployment rate of 8.3 percent.
This slow improvement of jobs over the last few months has helped to increase the Dallas job market. Rather than seeing jobs come in all at once, employers have been hiring at a steady pace. That has helped to encourage businesses to prosper here.
There is no doubt that more jobs are necessary and in many cases, some fields are still struggling to find the ability to hire. However, for many people in Dallas, things are looking better and that could indicate a turnaround for those who want to see the country as a whole pull out of a recession.
